How long is the migration going to take?
We expect the migration to take around 48 hours to complete. You will receive another email once the transfer has finished.
Will there be any downtime?
No, there will be no downtime during the migration.
Will I need to change my nameservers?
If you are using our ns*.thewebhostserver.com nameservers or our nameserver IPs for your own custom nameservers you won’t need to make any changes. If you are using a third party provider such as CloudFlare or a domain name registrar DNS service you will need to update the DNS information to the shared IP above.
How long will the old server stay online?
All services will stay online for 5 days after the migration. We will also keep backups of the previous servers for 60 days.
If you have any other questions regarding this migration please feel free to contact me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org or contact support.
Will there be any server changes?
There are two significant changes on the new servers, starting with upgrading all CPUs to Dual E5-2620 v4's with 16 cores and 32 threads per server.
The second change will be the addition of LSCache. This is a highly customisable high-performance page cache for dynamic content built into LiteSpeed Web Server. This provides significant performance improvements for PHP applications, specifically Wordpress through the LSCache Wordpress plugin.
